Role in the Project
Cherrie is a Research Assistant on our project. She is primarily responsible for the overall management of our database, including undertaking archival and archaeological research. In addition she assists in logistics aspects of our field research, and is generally willing to help out wherever we need assistance.
Why She’s Excited About the Project
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a community driven project. As an archaeologist this project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a more balanced version of the colonisation of Queensland. I hope to help bring to light the impact of the Native Mounted Police in the past as well as the legacy for Indigenous people today.
